MLS LIVE! On-Ramp

On-Ramp is the smartest place to begin your shuffle journey.

This live 3-week class helps you build the movement skills that make shuffle dance possible — before the speed, impact, and complexity of full Foundations.

Instead of jumping straight into Running Man and Charleston, we focus on learning how shuffle actually works in the body: how to balance, shift weight, control landing, and move to music with confidence.

Each week builds toward real shuffle movement and simple dance combos.

Week 1 — Finding Your Center & Moving to Music
You’ll learn how to control your center of gravity using two-footed perch positions, split landings, basic pivots, and twist transitions.
We’ll begin linking modified shuffle movements into a short musical combo so you experience flow — not just drills.
Strength and stability work supports safe landing and coordination.

Week 2 — Single-Leg Control & Early Shuffle Patterns
We progress into one-footed perches, A-shape positions, scissor splits and introduce the Running Man. We'll evolve the pivoting exercises from Week 1 into the Side Charleston and variations.
You’ll also begin single leg pivots and T-step patterns while continuing to build strength and rhythm awareness.

Week 3 — Charleston Foundations & Dance Integration
You’ll learn forward and backward Charleston mechanics, transitions, and how to combine movements into a beginner dance combo.
By now you’ll feel more mobile, more stable, and more capable of learning full shuffle patterns.

By the end of On-Ramp you will:

• understand how shuffle movement works
• feel more stable and confident on your feet
• move more comfortably to music
• Enter Foundations with the basics, ready to  — or continue building at your own pace

This is not just conditioning.
It’s your first step into becoming a dancer.

Please note: This course is not recorded. On-Ramp is a live movement experience where learning happens through real-time coaching, repetition, and feedback.
