Level 3: Foundational Variations (M-J)
Live Online • Tuesdays at 9:00 AM MT • 6-Week Series • Level 3
Service Description
Expand your shuffle vocabulary by learning variations of the Foundational Five moves — Running Man, Charleston, T-Step, Polly Pocket, and grounded flat-footed patterns — and applying them immediately inside structured combo work. This course is designed to improve move acquisition speed, combo retention, directional awareness, and stamina, helping you transition from executing individual moves to dancing longer, more complex sequences with confidence. Each week you’ll learn multiple move variations and use them to build an 8-count combo, reinforcing pattern switching, tempo control, and flow. Emphasis is placed on linking variations across move families rather than practicing them in isolation. Each class is 90 minutes. Weekly Focus: ⭐ Week 1 — Running Man & Charleston Variations Learn several Running Man and Charleston variations and combine them into a structured 8-count combo that develops faster pattern recognition and directional flow. ⭐ Week 2 — T-Step Variations & Grounded Freestyle Explore T-Step variations along with Rocking and grounded freestyle patterns to improve pivot control and lateral movement confidence. ⭐ Week 3 — Polly Pocket Variations & Early Cutting Shapes Develop internal rotation strength through Polly Pocket variations and flat-footed perch-based moves while learning an introductory Cutting Shapes-style combo. ⭐ Week 4 — Combo Construction & Tempo Progression Learn how to build your own combos using logical transition pathways between variation families while gradually increasing tempo and improving reaction speed. ⭐ Week 5 — Graduation Choreography (Part 1) Begin learning a layered graduation choreography that emphasizes faster move acquisition, directional commitment, and sustained combo execution. ⭐ Week 6 — Graduation Choreography (Part 2) Complete and perform the full choreography while working at higher tempos to build stamina, confidence, and readiness for advanced progression containers. Please note: This course is not recorded. Shuffle Variations is a live technical training environment built around real-time correction, active participation, and rapid combo learning.
