Level 0: On Ramp
On-Ramp is the smartest place to begin your shuffle journey.
This live 3-week class helps you build the movement skills that make shuffle dance possible — before the speed, impact, and complexity of full Foundations. We focus on learning how shuffle actually works in the body: how to balance, shift weight, control landing, and move to music with confidence.
Each week builds toward real shuffle movement and simple dance combos.
Week 1 — Center, Landing & Pivoting
You’ll learn the basics of shuffle movement: hopping, landing, twisting, rhythm, and staying centered. We’ll work on perch positions, scissor splits, Happy Feet, A-Step, and basic pivots so your body understands the mechanics before adding full shuffle patterns.
Week 2 — Running Man, Flares & T-Step Prep
We’ll build from Week 1 into your first true shuffle patterns, including Running Man, Side Charleston Flares, single-leg pivots, and a beginner-friendly Lazy T-Step. This is where the pieces start connecting into real movement.
Week 3 — Charleston, Transitions & Combos
We’ll review Running Man, Happy Feet, and T-Step, then add forward and backward Charleston mechanics. You’ll begin linking moves with simple transitions so your shuffle starts to feel more like dancing.
By the end of On-Ramp, you will:
• Understand basic shuffle mechanics
• Feel more stable with hopping, landing, and pivoting
• Learn early Running Man, T-Step, Charleston, Happy Feet, and Side Charleston Flares
• Be ready to enter Foundations with the movement basics already in place.
