Foundations Series — Enrollment Now Open

Start your shuffle journey with the Foundational Five — the core moves every dancer needs: the Running Man, Charleston, T-Step, Polly Pocket, and Crisscross.

Over four weeks, you’ll layer new skills, strengthen rhythm and balance, and feel your movement start to click. Each class builds on the last, blending mechanics, transitions, and confidence until your shuffles feel natural, musical, and uniquely you.

Perfect for brand-new dancers or anyone rebuilding their foundation — this series gives you the tools and feedback to move with style, strength, and ease.

Week 1:

Foundations of Shuffle and Shapes

The Running Man + The Charleston

 

Start your journey with two essential moves that set the stage for everything ahead. Learn mechanics, form, and comfort on your feet while building coordination and control.

Week 2:

Mastering Lateral Movement

The Basic T-Step and Transitions

 

Focus on shuffle’s most iconic step and smooth transitions. You’ll connect the Running Man, Charleston, and T-Step in simple sequences that start building flow and muscle memory.

Week 3:

Layering in Diagonal Movement

The Polly Pocket and Early 8-Count Combos

 

This week, we’ll add in a shuffle favorite: The Polly Pocket — and start blending it with previous moves to create short, symmetrical sequences.

Week 4:

The Flat-footed Perch Moves

The Crisscross, W-Step, and V-Step


Learn the essential building blocks of cutting shapes. We'll also work on mastering  transitions that make blending into single-foot perch positions look controlled, confident and stylish.

By the end of four weeks, you’ll have a complete beginner shuffle toolkit — and the confidence to dance anywhere.
